Man of Steel was packed in many interesting editions after it was released. The most popular was metal tin with Superman logo, but it had its flaws, mainly connected to opening of plastic cover, but on display it was amazing. In this video I would like to focus on one gem, that was one of the best premium editions on the market from my point of view. Later on it was re-released by HD Zeta, but that is another story. This particular edition was strong debut of Manta Lab, retailer from Hong Kong that on that time was unknow to collectors community. It was theirs first release that shook collectors and divided them in the end. It was beautiful release on the paper and the one to go for every blu-ray addict, however when it was released there was much discussion about holographic foil abuse. In my opinion it was good idea, especially when it comes to the front art, that is little bit blurry from the start and this effect adds little bit of extra to the whole picture. It was also repeated by Film Arena with “In the Heart of the Sea” [you can find this edition here - https://movieshelter.blogspot.com/2016/10/in-heart-of-sea-full-slip-limited.html], that was misfire for me, but its different topic.Full Slip is not the only thing that deserves the podium, as the steelbook that it holds is amazing piece of art. Embossing on the logo and main title with this incredible artwork is brilliant mix. On top of that glossy finish and it was easily the best steelbook of the year. In addition to the whole release standard postcards and booklet. Manta Lab entered the market with big bang and the rest is history. To spice this edition up – Man of Steel’s signature was mandatory. I gave it to Henry Cavill that I met during promotional tour of Netflix series Witcher. He was very nice in person & I was surprise by his kindness and patience. He literally delayed the screening of the series due to the fact that he wanted to talk to everyone who wanted to meet him. I believe he is the true Man of Steel. With the whole amazing news about final release of Snyder Cut, I thought it would be good moment to do the unboxing of this amazing edition. Have a nice unboxing experience! Video unboxing:

Signed by Frodo – Elijah Wood, that I had pleasure to meet in 1Q of 2020. This unboxing video may be not the perfect one, as it may be too fast for some viewers, but when I was working on new editing (slower tempo), my hard drive’s life was stopped. Anyway, I still got my “old cut” of the unboxing – and here it is! I hope that you like it, at least I am sure that those who liked my first videos with fall in love with this one. In description section under the video on YouTube there is also link to very detailed photo unboxing (110+ photos) – check it out, as it may fill all needed gaps for those who want to see everything in detail. Middle Earth set was released some time ago, but only now I finally got my hands on it. Extended editions of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings all in one big package + extras, took me a while to watch. Each film comes with extensive documentaries chronicling the creation of each film - all bonus content ever released for both the theatrical and extended editions of each movie is included in this set. That adds up to 30 discs total. Let’s be fair – its big, but it’s the best set and probably it will be hard to beat it (Taiwan DVD set, may be good contender, but there is no Hobbit and Blu-ray in it). Each movie comes in a "faux leather" book, and the six books fit on a solid, "Hobbit-style" wooden shelf with a design selected by Peter Jackson. Shelf is solid and heavy, you can feel the difference. This wooden edition is wooden (!). There's also a recreation of the Red Book of Westmarch. It contains 100 pages of sketches and artwork from conceptual artists Alan Lee and John Howe as well as inserts in post-card style with maps and other goodies. Both Lee and Howe worked on all six films, and both artists have worked in Tolkien's universe since long before Jackson's films arrived. Yeah, German title for me is ok, but still if it would be in english for sure it would be better. Initialy I bought this one mainly die to the other films in the collection, as it is and probably will be the only set that has so many extras. When it arrived and i saw the look of the boxset (holofoil like effect) i instantly felt in love with it. It worth 70 euro mark, but 90 is not so tempting, however i am not dissapointed.
