As I recently listened in a Gaspard Noe movie, "Time destroys everything." And it's true. It doesn't matter the care you give to your most appreciated editions, or that they don't receive a blow or scratch. It does not matter the affection with which you pamper them. Just by being on a shelf year after year, at some point they will start to age. Materials degrade, colors lose a certain point of brightness, or, at least, lose their freshness; and decades steal its appearance to something completely new. I have some real jewels on DVD.
