Looks like the iconic Marvel villain is getting a solo film!

At Comic-Con tonight, Noah Hawley dropped the bombshell announcement of his next project, teasing an upcoming film with two words: DOCTOR DOOM.

Hawley is said to be planning on directing the film for Fox.

Doctor Doom, who first appeared in The Fantastic Four #5 (July 1962), is the son of Romani witch Cynthia Von Doom. He traditionally has been the archenemy of the Fantastic Four, and the leader of the fictional nation of Latveria. He is both a genius inventor and a sorcerer.

In the world of live action, the character has to date been played by Julian McMahon (Fantastic Four 2005 & Rise of the Silver Surfer) and Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four 2015).
