Day 1! I loved this film growing up.

We open it up annually right around now. Right now we are just finishing up the pre-registration process for 2023 gold and platinum members and will then open up registrations to new members.
Perfect. Thanks for that clarification!

Is the tiered membership process still available?
I never found it anywhere, and the main page for it doesn't show anything. I read somewhere that it is only certain times of the year, but I don't know how true that is.

This movie is great (I have my 4K Blu-Ray from Capelight on the way), but Pearl is one hell of a sequel. The 4K Blu-Ray from Turbine is flawless with a wonderful Atmos track. I'm really stoked for MaXXXine!

If that's the hold up, then I hope PTA relents eventually... I don't know how distribution works, but you'd think the promise of 4K sales would assuage his reluctance a little? Boogie Nights would also be a fantastic to have in 4K. @Gary K was talking up Inherent Vice the other day, I've really got to give that one another go, I haven't seen it all the way through.
By the way, welcome to the forum @Nadam! Glad to see you around here.
Thank you so much for the kind welcome! I just learned about you all this morning, and wanted to give it a shot. I joined a group buy, and really looking forward to chatting with more cinephiles!

Agreed! I first saw it in 70mm and was blown away. IMHO the BD replicates that experience nicely and looks really stunning, but a 4K release would really push the envelope. I bet it'll be a reference-quality disc when the time comes, going to be a day one buy for sure.
Oooooooo, The Master in 70mm would be breathtaking! I read that PTA doesn't like to re-visit previous work based on former interviews, so it is possible we won't be seeing more of his work in 4K, but I really hope I am wrong. As you said, I also feel The Master would be a stellar reference-quality disc. I would also love to get Inherent Vice and Boogies Nights on 4K Blu-Ray, too.

2 nights ago I watched "A Taste of Cherry". Yesterday I watched "Mulholland Drive" and "The Great Silence". All three were first-time experiences, and I cannot stop thinking about how magnificent they were!

Outstanding transfer, and definitely worth adding to the collection.
