    I'm in for:

    - The Crow

    - Training Day

    - Sin City

    Maybe Pacific Rim.

In the spirit of @Basilcomments, I will add more rationale for my picks to generate more conversation.

A Crow treatment makes an ideal candidate for this type of treatment because of the killer soundtrack licencing. I assume the reason we haven’t seen much reproduction of this film is because of the stellar soundtrack licence. I don’t see the studio paying huge amounts for a 4k release, however a Creator Era release will be fitting for my bluray copy.

Next, Training Day, similar circumstances to a Crow release with Dr.Dre’s participation in the film and the soundtrack. However, I can visualize a couple of images from the film on the premium box - the “old wise men” scene and the “poker game” scene. I have other favourite scenes but these ones on a lenticular box would be cool.

Sin City needs no explanation. A lot good visuals to use on the box. No licence issue that I am aware of.

Pacific Rim could be done. Warner Bros always relicence their releases. No real concern.

On my honourable mention list would be:

Die Hard - a lenticular of the Nakatimi roof explosion or the “ I feel like a TV dinner” scenes are iconic.

There Will Be Blood - I have the initial physical media release on paper stock. I thought that was a cool release. Another premium “surveyors” Paper Stock release could be cool to give it an era feel in your hands.

    Thoughts?

Received my box and have mixed feelings. Slip with metal front including content is awesome but rest is kinda meh. Booklet is great but the matte parts of the cover are scratched, box itself is pretty bad; low res image, lenticular'ish window which makes no sense (effect isn't there) and colors are dull. It's not as disappointed as 'LAH' and overall 'Terminator' set (that's only due to high pricing of those sets) but I really hope MAG ups their game for their following releases. For now, Ill step aside and pass on them which is a shame because the titles they release(d) are awesome 😎

    Thanks Larson for the review.

I do want to share a bit more about this set than I should. The scanavo case for me was the only item “I can live with”. However, there is an item in there that made me think about my first impressions of the film itself. I can remember walking out of the theatre thinking this is either a brilliant film or another flavour of the month movie. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Like I said this film grew on me and I am a very proud owner of such a set - my first MAG. That being said the item that is interesting to me is the MNU patch. I’m also a “patchie”, I looked at my collection and found a few examples - PS4 Avengers, Deadpool, I know a Hellboy 2 set is supposed to have one (a missing piece in my collection). But to me the MNU patch in this set speaks volumes to the content of the film.

I hope this set finds you well, maybe there is a visual in the “window” we are not all seeing.
    Take care.
