Direct is faster and cheaper. Direct means that you'll receive your order directly from Manta Lab. If you choose 'hub,' your order will go to Media Psychos and they will ship to you. Some people chose the hub option because they have a collectible number, among other reasons. Manta's packaging is superb, so it's highly unlikely your order will get damaged. They use sturdy, thick shipping boxes, an inner foam box, and on top of that, Manta ships all editions in a hard plastic case that protects against damage. Three layers of protection. The other main reason being premium service/loss protection, in the USA at least. The the little extra I pay for that gives me peace of mind.

Hello,
News for Cinemuseum the release ?
it's starting to get long 😌 !!
Johan
It's been about 1 1/2 years since the Group Buy was opened. While extremely long for any other premium retailer, that's actually not that long for CM. The Batman/Batman Returns Group Buy opened 4 1/2 years ago.

Like Ghostbusters, I'm guessing the price will drop considerably. But if $55 is expected to be the new norm, we may as well just wait for the premium edition. I'm already debating just waiting for the Manta Lab set as it is, and the current price tag is really helping to solidify that decision.
I know the price will most likely drop. But I'm not pre-ordering any WWA Steelbook for that price.

Apple+ focuses on quality over quantity. It's worth it for Silo, Foundation, and Constellation alone, but there is lots of other good stuff too. Napoleon with Joaquin Phoenix is on my watch list. Heard good things about "For All Mankind". Almost forgot about Severance, a fantastic show! $10 per month is a bargain IMO.
Don't forget:
My favorite comedy of the last few years.

What's different about the unforgiven box?
The Unforgiven box is a wood slip, just like Kung Fu Hustle. It does not open.

@Gary K Do you know if this is the wooden box similar to the LOTR Trilogy or is it the Unforgiven style?

I'm 50 minutes in. It's a mixed bag: Detail at times can be phenomenal: you can see the pores on Ripleys face, and ship and environment detail that wasn't clear before. Then 30 seconds later, things will look waxy and cloudy, for lack of a better term. I know some people are worried this is another T2 type of putrid transfer, but it's not. It's much better than T2, but I just wish more care had gone into it Alien on 4K is one of the best transfers on the format, proving if done right you will have something that enhances the original.
Also: I'm watching this on a 77in LG CX 4K OLED, sitting about 7ft from the screen.

This will probably be a very unpopular opinion, but I have not liked a single piece of art for Oppenheimer. Not him standing in the mushroom cloud, or watching the Trinity test, or standing in front of the bomb, any of it. Because it is all overbearingly ORANGE. It's like the Batman Begins art, it's just so goddamn ugly with all the ORANGE. Because of the ORANGE, I wasn't planning on getting any release, probably not even Manta.
But I broke down and finally pulled the trigger on this one, because it is less ORANGE. There's still some ORANGE of course, but the art isn't dominated by it. I actually really adore the spine, and the interrogation room is pretty good, before it transitions into more ORANGE.
I did love all the pink in Barbie, the superior movie.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on your post, it seems you really do not like the color orange.

I respect the fact that you are entitled to your own opinion as well, but I can't respect your opinion. Make no mistake, I'm going to have a hard time sleeping tonight knowing you prefer TDK over The Godfather!

Another 9.9 🤣 3rd best movie I ever watched in my opinion
I can't give TDK a 10. It's fantastic, but not a 10 IMO. Godfather, Godfather Part II, Pulp Fiction, Seven Samurai , T2, Alien & Aliens are all what I would consider to be 10's. I would put Raging Bull and Goodfellas as 10's as well.

@LeadFarmerIn my experience Amazon Japan has been much better than our domestic Amazon. I've never received anything damaged from them, and that's with probably 10-15 shipments over the years. They always used boxes.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (Manta Lab Exclusive #64) (WEA 4K UHD/2D Blu-ray Steelbook) [Hong Kong]
in Manta Lab
Posted · Edited by ncraft
Manta Lab is one of the best, if not the best, premium makers in the biz. But this is uninspired and lazy. They tried something different on the Fullslip but ultimately failed. It looks bad. They "gently reused" part of WeET's one click on theirs. The double lenticulars are meh. If you already own this one, particularly from Blufans or WeET, there is zero reason to buy this. And if you do, congratulations you're a fool who just bought the exact same thing twice.
