Challenge #23 Sci-fi has to be my top genre. Like many, seeing the first Star Wars (on TV, not quite old enough to have seen it in theater. At least not until I skipped school to see the first re-releases of the special editions for the 20th anniversary which was gloriously 🤤). Never looked back and have been into sci-fi every since. I honestly have a hard time ever naming Top 5's or whatever. There are many that I could watch at any time. But these 5 here would easily be among the my most common rotations. And Aliens would be my top choice from that franchise, with the original close behind it. For Star Wars, it would be Empire Strikes Back, the original, and Rogue One for my tops there.

Challenge #22 Dune is one of my all-time favorite books. And this Folio Society edition is gorgeous. I really wish I could find their Starship Troopers edition for a good price 😔 I thought about throwing in To Hell and Back from challenge #31. There's probably not as many who have read that one. But I didn't think about that until I went to actually post this. But I've come too far now.

And proceeding to knock out a few more missed challenges. Starting with Challenge #12 The directors I went with are Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, and Edgar Wright. I honestly can't think I've seen a bad movie from any of them (well ok, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). There are a few titles for Spielberg that I'll say I'm meh about (Lost World, Lincoln, War of the Worlds come to mind). And I figured since Nolan and Spielberg were easy ones to pick, I'd go with Wright for the third director. He has a much smaller filmography but is no less impressive. The Cornetto trilogy is among my most favorite comedies (and the EverythingBlu set I have is among my most prized in my collection). But Baby Driver, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, and Last Night in Soho are all excellent too. Favorites are: Nolan - Interstellar, Spielberg - Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Wright - Hot Fuzz

Alright, first 4 pics are the original 50 used. Next 2 are the other 50. I don't think I got any overlaps. For the new ones I just went alphabetical 😅

For Challenge #30 Decided to stick to comedic villains. 1) Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery - Dr. Evil 2) Ghostbusters II - Prince Vigo Von Homburg Deutschendorf, Scourge of Carpathia, Sorrow of Moldavia, also known as Vigo the Carpathian, Vigo the Cruel, Vigo the Torturer, Vigo the Despised, Vigo the Unholy 3) Mars Attacks! - The Martians. Ack! Ack! 4) Hot Fuzz - The whole freaking town 5) Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - Judge Doom My favorite would have to be Darth Vader because Star Wars is the greatest. For a couple of other great ones I haven't seen mentioned yet (at least from my quick scan), Kilmonger in Black Panther and Staff Sgt. Barnes in Platoon. Both are huge parts of what made those movies great.

Media Psychos: Disney Collection Award

Ack, my brain saw animated and live action but skipped the remake part! Sorry! And here I thought I was trying to bring out some different things. Anyways, I actually counted 11 wrong ones: Hocus Pocus, Ice Princess, Maleficent, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Invincible, Princess Diaries 2, National Treasure, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets, Sky High, Swiss Family Robinson, and Tomorrowland. Unless Maleficent counts for Sleeping Beauty? Anyways, here are 11 more. -
Challenge #18 I went with these because they are some of my favorite movies. The items (not the movies themselves) were all gifts from friends or family, except the Captain America statue. So they mean a little extra. The statue, well Cap was my favorite comic character for a long time. And that scene in Endgame is epic. And the statue is just as epic.
