Watched the original Solaris by Tarkovsky. It is very slow almost to the point of being boring but has a lot of depth to it. The ending is bloody brilliant. I forgot how the remake ended but it wouldn't be anywhere as good as the original I wouldn't have thought.

Welcome to the family I hope you have a blast here, if you are a little confused with the Group Buys I made a cool walk-through video to help you. Feel free to ask me or any Admin for help, they are super helpful.
Ok. Cool. Thanks. I didn’t think to look at the Twitter feed.

Just finished watching Possessor. Amazing movie. He really tells a story in the most economical way without any blatant exposition through dialogue but just through visuals, which I like. And it looks as though it was all done though ingenuity and not CGI.
The only thing I would say that bugs me about it are the extreme closeups of everything and people being placed in the corners of the frame. I know it’s probably a technique of inducing claustrophobia and obviously intentional in order to build an off kilter alternate world but for me it’s annoying when used constantly.

Tried to watch Possessor but I fell asleep. No reflection on the movie. Will have to try again tonight. 😅
I watched Happy End over the weekend. It's very well made and I would say rewarding if you're really paying attention. Some parts are pretty funny too.

Not a bad movie but does have a reasonably unsatisfying second half. Bought it from Yesasia because the postage from KimChi seemed to have doubled since I last brought from them.
What did you watch last night???

Finally got around to watching 1987: When the Day Comes. I thought it was good. There were a lot of downsides though. One was the amount characters they crammed in there. I get that it was trying to depict a ‘we’re all in this together’ political statement but it just made it feel so disjointed by the end. Like Ha Jung-woo is in it only sporadically and goes missing for most of it until he pops at the end and his character is supposed to be noble but he’s also a cocky douchebag so we no have idea why he is doing the right thing. Also, the ‘bad guy’ was really annoying and, in my opinion, not very realistic. Basically, I don’t think the film lived up to the reality of the situation. If they simplified it it could have been great. The only time I found myself with a tear in my eye was at the very when the real life footage was being shown.
