  1. Challenge 26: Women in Film Another great challenge to my liking, thx @Mrdugan! Here are my entries for Women in Film (in no particular order), even though there are far, far more: - Neve Campbell in Scream and Wild Things (both quite genre-defining roles with Scream reviving the Horror genre - Brie Larson as Captain Marvel (one of my favorite Marvel Origin movies) - Alica Vikander in Tomb Raider (I only really came into contact with the Tomb Raider Reboot games and really loved them. Alicia Vikander does Lara Croft real justice in the movie) - Kate Beckinsale in Underworld (Basically every installation she's a power house, albeit Rhona Mitra does a great job of portraying Sonja in Rise of the Lycans.) - Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman (Another great Origin movie, this time for the DCU thanks in no small part to Gal Gadot's performance) - Rosa Salazar as Alita Battle Angel (Rosa Salazar's interpretation of Alita got me into reading the Manga in the first place, really hope there'll be a sequel) - Salma Hayek as Santanico Pandemonium in From Dusk Till Dawn (While not strictly a main character, her entrance is all the more unforgettable) - Jessica Alba as Nancy Callahan in Sin City (with a similar entrance, albeit a way bigger role). My favorite woman in a movie would be Neve Campbell as Amy Post in "Three to Tango", I love her performances but in this one she's just on another level - so lovable and funny.
  2. Here's my contribution to @Gary K's excellent Oscars Challenge #24. In my humble opinion, To Kill a Mockingbird should have won Best Picture, but Lawrence of Arabia was too tough a competition in '63 and at least it got Gregory Peck a well deserved Oscar for playing Atticus Finch.
  3. I didn't even know they finally released "Over the Hedge / Ab durch die Hecke" on Blu-Ray. Just ordered it on Amazon.de (6,99 € - quite a nice price). Thanks! A really great animated movie that's a bit underrated imho and one I was always hoping would be released on Blu-Ray but never really had on the radar in the last few years.
  4. And the last one of the 5 allowed older challenges, this was fun, thank you! CHALLENGE #1 - Favorite Lenticular (also a contender for challenge #20 - why the heck isn't this on Blu-Ray): The O.C. 20230228_132308_1.mp4
  5. To make it a full 5 contributions: CHALLENGE #18 ‐ Merchandi$ing! Where the real Money from the Movie is Made! 1. Mass Effect (Cook & Becker 32 x 70 inch museum grade print - one of twelve worldwide, DVD case for reference, I also have the version with Tali but that is still in its shipping package) 2. The Lion King (see my other post) 3. The Legend of Korra / Avatar the Last Airbender 4. Final Fantasy XIII 5. Life is Strange / LiS - Before the Storm 6. Tomb Raider
  6. And another one CHALLENGE #21 ‐ Love is in the Air. Judging by the fact that all of those are DVDs you could say I had a certain phase about 20 years ago: 1. Three to Tango (Neve Campbell ❤️) 2. Out of Sight (Really liked that one - George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez have great chemistry) 3. She's All That (adorable little movie) 4. While You Were Sleeping (I like Sandra Bullock's early romantic movies, see below) 5. Forces of Nature 6. Meet Joe Black (almost forgot I had this one)
  7. And while we're at it CHALLENGE #20 ‐ Still Missing! Forgotten Treasures! I'm only counting DVDs because the jump in quality to 1080p is just so big. 1. Babylon 5 (at least there are new 1080p versions of the 4:3 masters on iTunes, Amazon etc. but I'd like to have a physical edition) 2. Deep Space Nine (judging by the immense work needed for reworking all the SFX rather unlikely I'm afraid) 3. Titan A.E. (come one, this one is a must, at least we got Iron Giant after many years otherwise this one would have been here as well) 4. Party of Five (it was touch and go to even get DVDs of every season) 5. Three to Tango (my favorite Neve Campbell film, there's a 1080p VoD version out there, so it should be possible to release a Blu-Ray) 6. Forces of Nature (just looked and there's no Blu-Ray out there apparently)
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome @extantsrevenge - Challenge #22 by @Reagh is also pretty awesome, so here are my entries for adaptation: 1. To Kill a Mockingbird. My favorite book, pretty obvious judging by the looks of it: 2. Battle Angel Alita 3. The Expanse 4. The Tripods (this series traumatized me as a child when I watched it on German TV). Since the show was never finished, I had to read the books. I thought I also had the second season on DVD, but couldn't find it) 5. The Hunger Games Bonus Babylon 5: Mass Effect Trilogy (I hope they finally get around to making that TV series): For challenge 23 I forgot to mention the movie that made me a fan of said genre, I guess that says it all (it's also somewhat fitting for challenge 22 since it was adapted as a Broadway show, book, video game, you name it):
  9. Thanks for the great challenge @Fortis93 My favorite genre is Animated Movies (especially Disney with their gorgeous Steelbook editions): 1. The Lion King 2. Zootopia 3. Raya and the Last Dragon 4. Beauty and the Beast 5. Mulan Bonus Frozen (would be number 6 and 7, but what the heck):
  10. Danke Dir!
