Challenge #17 It Takes two

Love duos in movies especially when there is a counterpoint in the performances, when there is an excess of something in one of the characters and in the other is the complete opposite. The relationship between the two of them and the rapprochement between them is simply wonderful and I never tire of watching them.

So here is my list:

Yes, this really is a very difficult challenge because we love cinema very much and depending on the day and the mood, preferences can change a lot.

Here is my Top Ten (in no order or maybe yes...you never know how the unconscious acts).

Also I would love to have an entirely premium Martin Scorsese collection :

GodFellas, The Wolf of Wall Street, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The Aviator, Shutter Island, The Departen, Cape Fear, etc, etc...

I have Steelbooks of all these titles (except cape fear), at the moment, if I'm not mistaken, only Casino and Gangsters of New York are available as premium editions.

For me the best weapons in movies are the ones that have a different main use such as the baseball bat or the hammer or others such as Wick's pencil or a plastic bag, these tools are much more chilling than a conventional gun.

Nexusjuan , I don't remember ever using any other nickname anywhere, a combination of Nexus for Blade Runner one of my favourite movies and my name. Simple, beautiful and easy to remember 😉

Good challenge and hard to find some letters !!!! 

Terminator 2 was my first purchase. One day when I was looking for information on the internet I saw in the google image results the incredible lenticular and steelbook from novamedia, which I had no idea what it was or where it was sold, I loved it. I had a good collection of blu-ray and dvd but no special editions other than some loose steelbook or some generic edition better treated by distributors . Time went by but I couldn't get this Terminator 2 edition out of my head . I searched and searched until one day I found it on Ebay USA and despite its high price(very expensive shipping to Spain) I decided to buy it without thinking about collecting more , just wanted to know if it was as good in hand as in pictures .   And of course ! it was better ! 

Guardians of the Galaxy was my second purchase, after savouring for some months my first purchase, I saw that this wonderful edition of Blufans would be on sale. This time I was investigating more and I was able to join to my first Group Buy, which I had never done before and I thought that I would probably lose the money and I would not get anything but the risk was worth it ! a few months later arrived it at home and I was impressed by the depth of the lenti, the design of the set and the beautiful steelbook that was inside.

I was hooked !

Martian and Avengers were also among the first ones, I couldn't say in which order, this time directly from Novamedia's website, also with that mixture of nerves for buying in a shop so far away and without any previous experience or reference from anyone I knew but everything went well and the idea of having a collection of my favourite films in premium editions was already a determination.

It was with The Shawshank Redemption from Hdzeta when I first came across Mediapsychos, some years after starting the collection and I finally found a place to share and read other fans of this hobby. Feeling part of a community that appreciates and values having a premium version of their favourite movies has been the culmination of my experience.  

Challenge 4:

Challenge 3:

I'm afraid I don't have much choice this time but here I go :

A nice touch from Cinemuseum to accompany the edition with a small velvet bag with a Casino coin inside.

On this occasion Everythingblu sent us this magnificent edition with the original theatrical poster of the film.

TheBluCollection was kind enough to send us an additional cool pin as compensation for the delay in the delivery of this edition. Yes, those were different times !

Too many good publications to be thankful for, I imagine this has happened to more than one of you in the last few days.

I hope I have understood correctly. Here I come ! 

First of all, Alien by Filmarena. I love when they take risks and do different things, in this case Filmarena for the whole saga made boxes with an amazing relief and design, an exclusive that is worth every cent.

Life is Beautiful by ARA , A great film that was crying out for a special edition and it was ARA in this case that released this edition containing a simple edition with some goodies. Very beautiful and simple edition to match the film.

The Revenant Manta Lab,  For the same reason as filmarena , in this case Manta Lab launched an edition with a leather-like look and feel. Very nice edition that stands out from the others for its unmistakable design. 

Thor Ragnarok WeetCollection , I have chosen this edition as I could have chosen any other Full Slip from Weet Collection, I think we can all agree that Weet has pushed the quality of the Full Slips one step further.

Ford v Ferrari by Hdzeta , This is my gratitude to the WWA special editions where Hdzeta has given us great works and joys with his Silver Label, I know that many of you don't like this kind of editions with a wwa steelbook inside but I am grateful that they exist, I love this edition or others like Unforgiven, Inception, The Hobitt . One day a WEA will come out, it's possible, but in the meantime these editions make me very happy.

Sorry @extantsrevenge really Life is Beautiful is a full slip with a loose lenticular that doesn't count, I didn't put the steelbooks with lenticulars either, If I'm wrong for the 100 lentis challenge I'll include them ! 

Here you have my 59 lenticular babies, each one more adorable than the other.

Every night I put them to bed one by one, kiss them and tuck them in before going to bed. Their FullSlip siblings too but that's not what we're talking about.

My eyes sparkle  with excitement to see them all playing together, I am a proud daddy.

On the other hand @extantsrevenge it seems that you have most of the OCs closed, if you need help just ask me. I know it's hard and difficult work but I'm an accredited expert, when I have finished you'll never see any annoying plastic wrap in your collection again. You can thank my work with some OC...........please preferably sealed.

Civil War by Blufans , I have them on display together and people's jaws drop when they walk past them.

Amazing !!

It is very difficult to choose between so many lentis that have given us joy over the years. But lately I was tremendously surprised by Hdzeta's Batman v Superman. It has it all :

- It has very good Depth
- It's got great Transition 
- It has very good Sad Affleck 🙂
- It's very sharp
- Good colour, good contrast

Why choose, when you can have it all?

So if I have understood correctly, is there no possibility to directly buy a gold membership from the store this year?

I had previously read that there would be some for direct purchase.

On the other hand, congratulations for the new system, personally it seems to me the most correct and the most logical, this is a forum, if you participate you get a membership and if not, you leave it to chance. I will continue to belong to this second group but I am happy that things are done well for the people who live this forum more closely. It is fair.
