Same here. Ant-Man did not take itself too seriously. But still was convincing action.

My biggest problem is Michael Pena. I found his character so obnoxious in the first one.

Just watched this one. 
Enjoyed it. Not perfect, got some arbitrary plot devices- but otherwise a very fun movie. 
Plot was a bit less contrived than the first one, but I still think the first one is a better executed movie with how much more concise it is.

I must say I was disappointed, but not that it is a bad movie. I cannot believe that Disney has advertised it so much as a direct link to Avengers 4 but it really is just a stand-alone movie.

It doesn't move the overall story at all imo.

 

A fun movie with lots of laughters but this really should come become Avengers 3.

What I don't like is that it is beeing released so soon after Avengers 3 and Black Panther. I think they should have released in fall. Can you say with out spoiling the movie if it is clear in the movie that it plays after Avenger or before? Do they mention the events of Avengers 3?

The whole movie talks about before the event in A3 and aimed to explain the House Arrest of Scott Lang that caused him not to participate in the fight with Thanos.

I feel that there is a slight 'off' in the timeline by the end of the movie.

It is a fun movie to watch without any expectation ?

A bad move to put after A3 since it doesn't do anything to the Infinity War storyline. Basically, we can do without this movie haha.

Yeah- it very explicitly takes place before Infinity War.

I’m going to the opening night fan event tomorrow. All I expect from an Ant-Man movie is some fun, action, and good effects. Im hoping the 3D is strong. Not too worried about the timeline stuff to be honest.

The first part was very very nice. Spectacular 3D.

I watched IMAX 3D and the depth was good. 

However, the pop-out effect is little so this is likely a 3D-conversion and not shot for 3D.

 

Either way, it is a fun movie. Love the Michael Pena flashback montage!
