This is so funny! So many Germans believe that all the other countries around us get the best stuff while we are at a disadvantage. Just take the Mummy steelbooks, for instance. All other countries got English-titled steelbooks - in Germany they had to put the German title on the cover "Die Mumie" - and because of this customized production run only for Germany the label decided to omit the embossing that all other countries around us got.

Regarding the release: If someone here plans on getting this, I would be happy to see some pictures, as well as some information on the disc content. I do like the artwork of the mediabook but am not sure if it's worth the money, though. Because I already got the OFDb Filmworks' Collector's Edition release in a digipack, that already comes with an extra booklet, a numbering certificate (limited to 2.000 copies), two audio commentaries and of course a ton of other extras. So I probably pass on this release, if there is not some unique selling point that attracts me

The titles that you guys get way before any other country is great . 

 

My love of a movie is far more important than the language on the case ?❤.

 

I LOVE German Steelbooks / Amray and any other if the movie is one I NEED ????

Haha, this is so cool. It makes me wonder if we Germans are sometimes just too cantankerous (that's a cool word ), always believing that others have it better than us. And then you come and tell us how good our products are.

You are right however, regarding some of the HD premieres, especially from small and independent labels, such as Anolis, Wicked Vision, Turbine Media, OFDb Filmworks, etc. With the major labels however it's often a question of luck.

Btw. I got the Mummy trilogy release from Britain's EverythingBlu label. You've got to love their leather and wood embossed, gold foil printed, 3-Steelbook "Fullslip" ?

EB The Mummy set  is a beautiful edition indeed . I had to pass due to car issues  CONGRATULATIONS on getting one .

 

 

I think it is a case of the grass is greener , sometimes we as collector's miss some of the wounders that our home grown retailers offer .

 

I always think that the more artwork is showcased the more chance we have to find an edition we want to grace our collections ❤❤
