Halloween (1978) (Blu-ray Steelbook) (FYE Exclusive) [USA]

I also agree that the cover is extremely lackluster. There are so many awesome art options and they choose the worst from that Halloween digibook release? I'm sad. I might get it anyway if the price is right but I'm still a little disappointed.

Also, I'm so frustrated because all of the FYEs close to me have closed. The only one left is in the crappiest mall in this state that is always a mess. This particular FYE is also extremely tiny and the racks are always a mess when I go. I wish I could order the FYE steelbooks direct from their website and guarantee it's going to be mint. It's the reason why I haven't picked up Re-Animator yet :( Didn't want to order from them out of sheer nervousness and the fact I don't want to deal with any returns since they're not at all close to me, and I don't want to make the trek out to the only physical FYE near me because they have the worst selection and I'm sure all of the steels are dented (and that's if they have any in the first place) with how messed up the racks are. I miss having multiple FYEs near me. Loved shopping there too and finding great releases for great prices.

I've had 2 FYEs near me close so only one is remaining and the movie section has been greatly reduced. It's sad! When I first got into 3D and bought the gear for it I scored tons of 3D movies in the used section during their buy 1 get 1 sales. Now I don't even go there anymore.

It is sad!! I used to go to FYE all of the time. I lived in a house for 2 years at a point that was literally right down the street from FYE. It was a dream, and sometimes I'd find great deals on hard to find things. I also would just end up there if I was like "hey, I really want to watch this movie, FYE probably has it for the equivalent price of a rental". I also liked their posters and some of their t-shirts. The only upside to FYEs closing is the bomb deals you could get, like I got the full blu-ray series of Weeds for really cheap at one of the closing sales. Nothing compares to FYE, really. I never go either unless I'm in that mall for something else (i.e. I went there for my birthday to eat at Rainforest Cafe back in March). Otherwise, I avoid it like the plague and even these nice steelbook exclusives aren't worth the hassle. I'm gonna mourn the day FYE inevitably completely closes. No other place quite like it, especially since they didn't do the annoying thing where they'd know what stuff is worth like other similar used/new media stores. You could find rare blu-rays for either cheap or normal prices instead of insane ones. Wish my local store -- Zia -- would take a dang note.
