It seems very strange that BF have announced this raft of 'second rate' releases (IMO) but missed out mentioning Pacific Rim Uprising. 

Why do Jurassic World 2 when you haven't done the first ? etc, etc.

 

At least they did do Pacific Rim 1, and made a superb job of it. But no mention of PR 2 mixed in with this last batch of stuff. I'm really disappointed about that.

Hopefully they will step up and give us a premium of Uprising. Either WEA or OAB, I don't mind.

I was also disappointed the we don't get Pacific Rim 2, I wanted one since I have the excellent first release. I also did not join Jurassic World 2 because they did not do 1, make no sense for me. Also I have all Jurassic as FAC, and those are awesome.

Totally agree on FA Jurassics. THE benchmark for this set of films.

You could argue that FA are guilty of 'jumping in' on series. Look at Mi5.  Nice release, but why jump in on #5 of a series ?

 

I'm sure these retailers have a reason for what appears an illogical thing to do, but just releasing something because you 'got them cheap' is not a great reason IMO. 

 

I have actually enquired, directly, about Pacific Rim Uprising. I'll let you know what the reply is. Hopefully positive.

Well..

here is the reply from Blufans about Pacific Rim uprising....

No plans for it ! They don’t feel confident about it. 

They are happy to concentrate on Marvel, Star Wars and Disney. They are proving very popular and easy to sell out. 

Can’t blame them I suppose. They do seem to be the ‘go to’ company for those releases, and quite deservedly so. 

Just a little disappointed they are not even considering it. 

Oh well. FA maybe ? ?

That is some sad news. Somehow I anticipated this. With the Disney titles they are on the safe side and the OAB are usually very low print runs. I'm still confused that they are the only ones that get so many Disney WEA Steelbooks so fast, everyone else seems to have problems dealing with Disney ? Thanks a lot for keeping us informed @DodgyDave ?
