GB Order tracking; suggestion

Good Evening Folks;

I was wondering what the possibility might be for having a page, either under "Orders" or "Manage Purchases" to which we ourselves could write to.

Specifically, I'd like the ability to write to a list, all the Group Buys I'm currently engaged in.

That way I wouldn't need to depend on a pad and paper (as I do now) or worse, need to cruise through all the Group Buys to see if I joined or not...?

 

I thought at first of an auto-link being possible once a person signs up for a GB but I think Gypsy would short-circuit trying to maintain that heh heh.

So if we maintained it ourselves, we have only ourselves to blame if we mess up.

Just a thought.

I would love to see a web page which automatically tracks all the group buys I've joined. I don't know how feasible that is. I think I saw another thread where someone suggested that, and most people replied that they used a spreadsheet to keep track of those things. And I can respect that process, but this seems like a feature that would be easier for the site itself to handle.

^^ If you have ever monitored some of the GB discussion pages, I think you'd notice how crazy it could get for MP's autobot (Gypsy) to keep track of the entries and updates folk entertain.

As I mentioned above, I figured that would be ideal as well but in hindsight I think it would prove too cumbersome for the autobot.

Also, I like the idea of maintaining my own personal updates, ones I can change, add to or delete as I see fit. I'd just like the ability to do it HERE.

I like the idea also of doing it yourself because then you are more ACTIVE with what is going on around you. 

 

We are currently trying to work on a solution for this "problem" so that it will make it easier on our GB members .

 

This could take some time though so not an over the night thing . 

 

Definitely doable im sure though !

john was thinking as a short stop gap would it be possiable to mod the tag system in the gb list so the member had a different coloured background for there tag in the list so that there eye would easily be drawn to where there name is, whilst leaving the rest blue.

i dont know if easily possible but a thought?
