As 2001 may soon be starting to ship out, I have done a simple description to help take the big edition out of its foam box.

 

When received, you will notice that the item fits tightly inside the foam protector.

 

Take this whole foam out of the packaging cardboard box and flip it around such that 2001 is facing down.

Pull the foam outwards (shown below) to allow 2001 to slowly slide out. This will prevent the shrink from tearing 😃

A bit OT but for those in the UK (and those visiting!) the Kubrick Exhibition is now on at the Design Museum - running until September 15th - and has a really fantastic section on 2001 with artwork, props and models. It's really worth checking out to whet your appetite for this gorgeous release!
