Update:

RightStuf just put Castlevania S-2 up for pre-order.

I loved S-1 and it was only 4 episodes!

True to their word, looks like S-2 is 8 episodes.

It will be interesting to see if AlltheAnime (AtA) do another Spec Ed. for it, I do hope so.

 

Out Nov 5th, looks like.

Thanks for posting this @extantsrevenge. I've been watching the release news on this one closely.

I love the fact they are releasing a Steel finally for this iconic series but it's MVM once more, so I don't know if they are doing an upgrade on the Blu-ray.

I'll buy it regardless just for the Steel but as I already have their previous release, which is pretty good, I'd also love to see an upgrade. 🙂

Don't get me wrong, it was a good release I just thought there was room for improvement with the newer tech available today.

If the new one wasn't coming out, I'd be happy with what I have... it ain't the 2016/17 ver at least!

The Series is very popular, was not really for me but it is nice to see more Anime in Steelbooks.

the new Makoto Shinkai Movie will be released in several edition in Japan. Regular BD or 4K with Pre-Order Benefits. Also a Digipack Collector's Edition. The regular BD & the Digipack release are also available with a Steelbook

I've heard mixed reviews, most say it's really great but others that it falls short of the bar Your Name set.

I'll decide, after I buy it...heh.  🙂

I'd love to see them get the opportunity to list the new Berserk Steel as well!

I already have it on order with AoL but I know Zavvi is more popular with many folk so that would increase sales.
