It's similar to the art on the white lunch box, which is the better of the 2 IMO as well. That looks like it's part of the box to me and 1/4 slips are a little too sophisticated for a Target release.

It is true the story feels a bit off for season 2, but the kids acted so well!! A lot of scenes were written to give them a chance to shine.
