My Nova Media Nightmare

@pioneers i feel for you, nothing worse than receiving substandard goods.

Nova were my favourite retailer, i have all of there releases.  I never had a problem with them till about 6 months ago.  I ordered a Lenticular Fullslip but they sent me the Standard Fullslip.  So i sent it back to them and they agreed to send the Lenticular.  To my surprise i got the package and they had sent me the Standard Fullslip for the second time. 

They have definitely let things slip with regards to quality and attention to detail.  Which is a shame because they are the king of the lentis.

Hope you can get some replacements or some kind of fix for the quality issues you have. ?

Nova have always had problems right back since they started, it's pot luck if you get an OCD version. Most do but a fair few don't. I remember Winter Soldier coming out and quite a few steels were marked including mine, but I've always found their customer service good "through Facebook". They immediately sent me a new empty steel without any questions. For those going the GB if John knows theres a problem and you ask nicely then usually Nova again will try their best to get you either a slip or empty case. Nova are definitely one of the better companies and I find they are far more helpful than Kimchi

I ordered Dredd Lenticular and Black Edition. They sent me Red Edition instead of Lenticular.

I sent them email and negotiated them instead of spending the return shipping, give me $15 NOVA points towards my next purchase and I will keep the RED. They agreed to my proposal. I'd say their customer service is top tier. Their responses were quick. I think it's their shipping department that lacks quality check.

 

I used that $15 NOVA point to re-order that Lenticular. Hope they don't send me RED again. I do not want two RED edition in my hand. >.<

Amazes me why this release is still available from Nova.

It was/is a great release, and better than the FA version, in my opinion. 

 

Glad to hear Nova are helping their customers. My opinion of them dropped considerably over the replacement PET slips for GOTG.

If members actually knew how much those JW empty boxes actually cost to ship, they would never have paid it.

All because Nova added the PET slips in the shipments of empty JW boxes. Thus effectively forcing members to pay for their cock up.  (All shipment costs are based on weight)

Members receiving Empty JW boxes and the replacement slips, via Hubs, have John to thank for the reasonable charge.

He quite generously picked up a large chunk of the bill.

But of course you never get to hear about these sort of things. They happen behind the scenes, and John doesn't shout it out. ?

Far better imo :)

Had problems with the FAC 3D disc and the Nova steel is much much better. And FAC tried to copy the art of the lenti Nova had used and transferred it to a full slip....  not impressed at all after that long waiting :(

I really like the Black Edition. Red is alright. Let’s see how the Lenticular edition comes out (if they send me the right item this time).
