How to improve people knowing to pay groupbuy's

Right very simple idea

Add a box on main page on main board on right hand side of board

Below members birthday box

But above tweets from media psychos box

 

Call it

Groupbuy payment  today 

And simple list of whats being paid!

 

So for example

Line could be

Blufans nttd Aug 27th-Aug 30th

 

This could be set up manually by staff

Or if really clever and flash set a bot up to pull from the payment calendar, should not need that much coding.

 

It would be a good way of easy notification to people that don't chase the clubs every day and being on main page then cannot complain did not see it, did not know.

 

I do wonder how many hundreds of hours that would save in chasing people @Masterblaster?????

 

And I mean where picture is below with arrow

just my two cents...

I think a main challenge for MP is (atm) that most of all things are managed by the boss himself (John).

Its now over one month ago where I just asked to raise up the max. number of recipients in PNs and thats just two clicks in the forums admin config files a I (as a normal member) already fetched the "howto" from the forums software support pages. Why is there no admin who can do that with his priviledges?

remark:

before, platinums had the priviledge to send to unlimited members. Why has it been changed to max. 5?

 

I wont think about how long it might take to add new content to the main page if a simple config update takes so long.

But - as ever - this is just my point of view...

Simple answer :  I forgot.  As you said I do alot so somethings do get lost down the road.

 

Easiest thing is just to remind me over and over (not taking jabs at me LOL) if it is something you want done to make your life here at MP easier.

 

It is done , do not misuse it.

Thanks John ! I'll take care with usage.

And in general I just wanted to say that there is (imo) someone missing to relieve you from especially these many many little points which come up often enough and cross your table table. In my opinion this forum with all its aspects is too big to be maneged only by one person. Okay, still of question of who you might "trust" to do an admin job but I think you already have enough persons around who support MP for many many years now as admin or mods who might be able to relieve you a little bit more.

Could also be a little "stress reducing" factor for you.

The Admins all have the same priveledges / responsibilities here on the Forum.  Some are more skilled with the software then others.

 

Your request for having more members added to a message , more then 5 is something I had to think on for some time .  After i had decided it was just forgotten so another Admin could not have done it because i not only forgot about it but also to relay my decision to them.  Although it seems like a petty thing for you as a member , it can have consequences and i want to ensure i am aware of them and also are ok with them.  Opening up this to allow you to add more could be used for other purposes (not so honorable) then you have with your baking group ....  Any change to the system is not just a no brainer all the time.

 

The Admins ARE relieving me of alot of stress factors, actually NOT ONLY them but all of the team are really helping , just as stated above some issues still I need to decide on .

 

Im honored at the idea that you think the Forum is big 😁

 

Anyway go do the baking and hope  it helps you out . 😁
