Isn't Back to the Future Part III from 1990? (Part I from 1985 and Part II from 1989) 🤔 That was the reason why I didn‘t list Part III.

But filmed in 1989, right? The award says movies that were "made between 1980-1989," not release date.

 

Anyway, in what I've shown, Dekalog included two films: A Short Film about Killing and A Short Film about Love, both 1988.

@ethnosax NOPE 🤣 that does not count. The movies have to be originally released in 1980-1989, I thought that was clear. I adjusted the award text so that there is no confusion anymore.

 

I will allow the Short Films in the Dekalog Edition

My collection isn't very big yet but 80s and 90s are my jam.  Still I needed my John Carpenter collection to get me over the top.  BTW there are 2 star wars and 2 evil dead in those boxes.

In the bottom left corner is the john carpenter collection with escape from new York, Prince of darkness, the fog, and they live.  And don't forget to count both star wars and there are two evil dead movies in the one steelbook.  I recounted to make sure

Ok, so there aren’t many awards here that I can qualify for, but hadn’t noticed this one until I was assembling movies for the 90s award.  This one’s easy.

 

So many excellent collections on this page, by the way.

 

As usual I take too many pictures, and of poor quality   I also always throw in a few extra in case I got something wrong.

 

The silver and black boxes with no title are Halloween 2 & 3.  Fun fact: John Carpenter grew up in my hometown and all of the place names mentioned in Halloween 1 & 2 (except for Haddonfield) are taken from there.  Smith’s Grove, Warren County, etc.

 

Side note, award suggestion:  I think Noir or Detective would make a very good award category.
