If they're partnering with Disney, I would hope that means their entire catalogue including all the 20th Century Fox titles.

If it's just Marvel though, it would be such a waste.

They said the reason was "mostly Marvel steelbooks" so... yeah, don't be holding your breath for something from Disneys very small non-MCU catalogue.

That's the thing, their non-MCU catalogue isn't small. It's actually quite substantial.

And what they have are much sought after franchises and titles.

You could make some serious bank on top of the MCU stuff.

They won't be remasters. So far, Disney has done nothing with the 20th Century material.

(the 4K remasters of HEAT and SPEED had already been done before the buyout).

I hope I'm wrong. Like you said- they should take advantage and not leave money on the table.

But When you own so much, I can see that roster being very low on totem pole.

I'm really disappointed that Manta Lab decided to make Marvel Steelbooks... There are already enough of them, and Weet has already set the bar very high, Manta Lab will not be able to compete.

A Disney license : "Oh ! Good news !"
For Marvel : "Damn it... Holy sh*t !"

Having more options is never a bad thing

yes it is.

A retailer that makes Marvel steelbooks is a retailer that doesn't do anything else... so a lost retailer.

As far as I understood that image. It didn’t say anything about only exclusively making Disney premiums. Unless I missed something

I think they’ll certainly be pushing out, advertising and focusing on MCU steelbooks if that’s the route they’re taking with Disney, but I think it’s a bit alarmist to suggest they’d shelve their other partnerships/lines/releases.

I still have faith in Manta Lab. They’re my favourite premium label so I might be biased 🤓
