I’m a Nolan Simp. And Colliard is an incredible actress. But I will say…that death scene left me with a chuckle. 😂😂😂😂

In my humble opinion, Cotillard is far from an incredible actress and I didn't even need this scene to solidify my conviction. I always thought of her as an extremely overrated and unnatural performer.

But more than anything, her death scene in TDKR left me puzzled as to how on earth Nolan thought this was acceptable to keep in the film. Perhaps it was actually the best take and he just gave up trying to get her to die convincingly 😅

My guess is budget and time. Him shooting on film and seeing the dailies the next day, he probably thought “Crap…that was some expensive footage…guess I’ll work with it”. 😂

Yeah I was very shocked by that death scene. It actually made me turn around & look to see if I was the only person who noticed how ridiculously out of tone it was. I told my friends leaving the theater that DKR was Nolan’s way of testing how strong his popularity was.
 

How much kool-aid is his fan base really drinking, or how much nonsense are they willing to overlook, because we are fans. I find it hard to believe he was making this film with the same pedigree as the other two.

It’s definitely not the same caliber as the first two installments. There’s a lot of plot holes and silliness. BUT I will say, it has some beautiful moments sprinkled into it (Bruce climbing out of the cave and the bats coming out *Goosebumps*, Alfred and Bruce talking in the cave about what Alfred wanting him to move forward with his life, awesome climax fight scene with the cops and soldiers). Definitely was over the top and not as grounded as the others, but it still great to watch.

The Blufans TDKR 1 Click Box set was pretty well done along with DL and the full slip. Really looking forward to see what Manta Lab has in stored for the art design on this one!
