Congrats on new job and good luck. Id understand no free postage for friends but not for yourself should be a perk with the job.

I've actually always been intrigued by a job there but my little local town never had openings but I guess I lucked out. I will be working my other job too until I get in full time. So no sleep but more money for Steelbooks! Lol (and my mortgage)

Oh alright then, that means you will be on the rural side (not really as tuff as our city-side which is where I was 💪*joke, joke* 😂 !!).

 

You will probably, after your training, be called in sporadically until you can move up to a permanent rural carrier (where I was from this can take several yrs. though) route! 🙌

Yeah it's right in my little hometown of Michigan. I am excited to learn one route and be the sub until hopefully go full time! I may have to learn more but we'll see. I just completed my academy training today and work Wed-Sat next week for OJT. I also still am asst manager at a Brew Pub restaurant, so I will have plenty of work!

You are fortunate to start off in your small hometown, this  should get you a little advantage on the territory…

 

It will still be a major learning curve with casing your mail, I’m sure!

It varies, they recommend in training to take it to the street but they say your regular might case it all. Personal preference really and not try and be the slowest!
