I still can't understand why there is no OC.

They make them for less expected editions...

 

Either they are saving a great asset for possible future collector's editions in 4K, or I don't understand it.

I agree. A missed opportunity, especially when you think of what breathtaking images from the movie could have been used.

The decision to skip a 4k release is also something that puzzles me.

I really love them both. The Lenticular and the Fullslip are both great. Wish I would've got both.

Yes, what a missed opportunity. All Wong Kar Wai films and Apocalypse now should be with OC box. These films are so popular, why would you not do it. In the mood for love even already sold out on novamedia despite 3000 print run. SMH.

I got the lenti but wish I got the full-slip hahah. The beauty shot didn't convey the texture on the full-slip so it looked a bit tacky to me, but looks killer in person. Anyway, can't wait to receive the lenti soon hopefully. Never seen the film so interested to watch it! Love me some "film" films.

Me too. I just ordered an extra Full Slip on ebay haha.

I was several times on the verge of signing up for the GB, but in the end I didn't. I wanted it to be my first OC, but it was not possible, and for a moment I thought that in theory 4K editions will be released later. Maybe there is OC there, or not: if there is, I can buy it, and if not, I can buy the 4K collector's edition then.

 

It's a risky bet, and it can go well, or badly, but it is what I have made.

 

At the moment for the blu-rays I have the fabulous Spanish collector's pack.

 

And not, I'm not surprised that it is sold out with large print runs. It's one of the best films of the last 30 years, and the most important thing for the editions: it has many many  fans.

It's something that some distributors had forgotten: there are auteur films that have fans. And a lot.

ITMFL is getring a 4k Remaster but has a 4k disc been planned yet? I can imagine that films like these might never get a 4k release.

Koch Films will release the movie in 4k in November🤩

Subtitles aren´t confirmed yet. However, so far only german subtitles are mentioned.
