^^ Good Evening @AndroiDad75😀

From our few discussions, I would suggest your "parenting skills" are assuredly praise-worthy and certainly of a higher calibre than some folks I'm familiar with.

I personally feel that an exposure to "horror" films at an early and impressionable age, as long as it is not conducted in isolation but in an atmosphere whereas disturbing topics are later discussed, is extremely healthy.

I was fortunate enough to watch the early Universal Classics (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc) by at least age 5 and was totally engrossed by the fantastical.

For this reason, I've to this day, classified films of similar ilk as "Dark Fantasy".

"Horror" I assign to more human monsters, i.e. Texas Chain Saw, Halloween, Friday 13th, Saw and like films, where the deranged actions of a human psychopath come to play.

Those I didn't experience until my mid-teens, simply because very few outside of Psycho, Peeping Tom, Black Narcissus, and a few others actually highlighted the genre.

When the flood-gates for such opened in the 80's, many of us actually became far more bemused than horrified by the tsunami.

In our current age, one is often intermingled with the other and as parents, I think it's important for us to discuss the actual difference betwixt homicidal maniacs that could live next door and the idea that a coven of vampires could decimate our town (though, gotta love "30 Days of Night", one of my fave Vamp fliks).

No worries my friend, I think you've got this...

Cheers. 😉

@Grendel, thank you so much for that very thoughtful post.  I really love how you classified them and I will steal that with pride!!!

Next up is Manta Lab's E#41:  Godzilla vs. Kong Full Slip.  Thanks to @deckard99 and @R1s1ngs0n for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

The detail in the Full Slip is really nice - embossing, foil, texture.  I love this steelbook!

I am still trying to figure out how best to angle the lights.  I know they are messing with a couple of the pics.  Just a few fun things for me to play with and tweak.

Thanks for looking everyone!

Next up is Manta Lab's E#40:  Blade Runner.  Thanks to @deckard99 and @R1s1ngs0n for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

Believe it or not, this is my first premium of Blade Runner.  I wasn't able to get in on the other one's, really wishing I was around and able to get the UHD versions of both BR and BR2049, so this one will do for now.  I wish the original poster art was on the Full Slip, as again I don't have anything with that art in a premium version, but I will say that I do really like this FS.  It has a mixture of matte and glossy, and also a nice change in the feel as you move your hand across the slip as well.

Next up is HDZeta SLE#63(??):  I am Legend.  Thanks to @deckard99 and @Benoit46 for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

The slip is nice.  It has subtle embossing on the title on the front, spine and then the two on the back of the slip.  It has a nice folder for the postcards and the steelbook has a nice feel to it as well.

Next up is WeET E#012:  Thor Ragnarok.  Thanks to @deckard99 and @icewire for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

This is my first WeET One Click.  The only other one I have is Wonder Woman from BF.  I love all the texture and bossing done on this box.  It's beautiful!

MP_ThorRagnarok4.thumb.jpg.fc534ba2155a68105c59120f06a9ff45.jpg

I decided to open only one of the slips at this point.  I decided on the slips that I liked best, which for me was A2.  We have the slip, the steelbook and the booklet.  The right section is showing the magnetic lenticular cover for the steelbook that came with the one click.

Character Cards:  These are really nice, big and heavy stock.  I was surprised how nice they are.  They didn't come in the slip itself nor inside the steelbook.  They were separate inside the shipping box in it's own envelope.  This is my first GB for CM, so I am not sure if this is normal or something special for ZSJL, but it's really nice.

I have a question for anyone that happens to see it in my thread...

I don't have many lenti's and I am unsure what constitutes a good lenti.

Is the CM ZSJL considered a good lenti?  If not, I have the OC of Wonder Woman from Blufans and the OC of Thor Ragnarok from WeET, and then I have the Dunkirk one from Manta Lab.  Are any of those considered really good lenti's?

Thanks!

It's not that I'm an expert on that subject and I don't have all of those, but of the ones you name, I'd say the Blufans WW DL is the best lenti.

It influences the depth and the movement mainly, also the sharpness, of course. It already depends on what the retailers use in them.

Thanks @Noir21, I will pull that one back out and take a good look at it!

Today I will post a two-for.... I had two Dune purchases come in.

Next up is Manta's Digibook (Not sure if they number them):  Dune.  Thanks to @deckard99 and @cypheria078 for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

Front and Back of the digibook.  This is my first digibook.  It's a nice switch-up to normal steels, but I still find steelbooks to be my favorite.

In addition to the digibook, I received this second variant of the steelbook

The steelbook next to the lenticular magnet.  The magnet is really, really nice.  The second pane, shows the steelbook with the magnet attached.

The steel is very nice along with the lenticular magnet, a pity that I missed those steelbooks 😔

Next up is WeET's CS #23:  Venom Let There Be Carnage.  Thanks to @deckard99 and @blu.steel33 for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

WeET's done it again with this Full Slip.  They are the reason why I seem to gravitate towards FS's - hoping all FS's would be equivalent, but often lacking (comparatively speaking).

Today's post will be a little different....

Today, I got this wonderful box of goodies that showed up on my porch!  I got my goodies from the End of Year Sale!

Thanks to @extantsrevenge for managing the sale, and everyone else who had a had in it, as well as @Masterblaster for packing everything up so well!

These are just pics of the box itself.  I'll take a pic of everything unloaded and side by side in a while.  Afterwards, I'll do my normal pictures of my spoils, as I have been, but that will take a bit of time and I'll spread it out over the coming weeks.

Look at the size of that box!  I know that anything in there has been made bullet proof and got here in great shape!

20220309_120626.thumb.jpg.79038fa16d1ccf40bb53958cc999c0e8.jpg

I couldn't help myself in at least opening it and taking a peak!

20220309_120717.thumb.jpg.08431bcc89d15def861bfe3bc18bb2f2.jpg

Thanks for looking!

Next up is MLIFE's Exclusive #55:  A Writer's Odyssey.  Thanks to @cypheria078 and @ksosk for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

I have tried to take good pictures, but I know they won't do this edition justice.  I have to say, this has so many premium, and I do mean premium, touches to it.  I truly love this edition.

That being said, there are a few things that could have been a bit better.  I do love the colorful disc trays covers, but they aren't very sturdy and I have one where the disc tray actually separated from the cardboard.  You'll be able to see that in the first disc picture below.

If anyone knows what those little glue dots are called, although it isn't really glue, please let me know.  I'd like to get some to reattach the one tray that's come off and have some on hand for one other that looks like it's also about to come off.  Thanks in advance!

Left and Right side of hardbox.  The detail in this box is exquisite.

Character / Art cards

First disc sleeve.  The art and colors are really nice.  As you can see the disc tray came free from the cardboard.  If anyone knows what the little glue dot things are called, please let me know.

Fourth disc tray:  outside and inside plus disc

There were also a number of mini-movie-posters and other mini "art" posters that weren't really easy to photograph.  So much stuff in this little box!

Thanks for looking everyone!

Next up is HDZeta's Gold Label Exclusive #?? (Unfortunately HDZeta doesn't do a good job outlining their numbering system so I am not sure what number this is):  Wonder Woman 1984.  Thanks to @Benoit46 and @deckard99 for managing the GB and @Masterblaster for getting it to me safely

Double Lenticular in the left and Full Slip in the right in each of the panes below.  The DL is outstanding.  I asked a while ago what was a good lenti... Well I think I found the best one I own so far.  I only opened the DL so far - especially since the contents will be the same.  The rest of the pictures will only show the contents from the opened DL.
