Deadline has confirmed that author Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing a Superman reboot feature for Warner Bros and DC, which J.J. Abrams is producing under his Bad Robot label.

Hannah Minghella will serve as producer. No plot yet and no attachments despite the fact that we’ve heard how Henry Cavill is eager to get back into the cape.

Coates is attached to a Ryan Coogler directed drama feature entitled Wrong Answer about a math teacher in Atlanta who is scandalized when he looks to get funding for his school by altering his students’ test scores. Michael Jordan is attached to Wrong Answer.

The Terminator is going anime with a new series at Netflix.

The streamer has ordered the project from Skydance, which produced the last two Terminator films, and Production I.G, which produces anime series such as Ghost in the Shell.

Mattson Tomlin, a writer on Robert Pattison’s The Batman, is set as showrunner and exec producer.

It marks the first animated TV adaptation of the franchise. There have been six feature films based on the character made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series.

He said, “Anyone who knows my writing knows I believe in taking big swings and going for the heart. I’m honored that Netflix and Skydance have given me the opportunity to approach Terminator in a way that breaks conventions, subverts expectations and has real guts.”

EXCLUSIVE: Laurence Fishburne is set to join Liam Neeson to star in the upcoming action adventure film The Ice Road, which Jonathan Hensleigh will direct from his screenplay. Shivani Rawat’s ShivHans Pictures is boarding the action film as producer and co-financier alongside producer/financier CODE Entertainment. Pic is underway in Winnipeg, Canada.

Starring with Fishburne and Neeson will be Ray McKinnon (Ford V Ferrari) Marcus Thomas (The Forger), Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), and Amber Midthunder (Hell Or High Water).

The film tells the story of a rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save trapped miners in a collapsed diamond mine in the far northern regions of Canada. Fishburne will plays Goldenrod, the trucking company owner who hires driver Mike (Neeson), and accompanies him on the dangerous mission.

Zack Snyder's Justice League has finally arrived and given the fact that fans and critics have been raving about it so far, it could spell a new beginning for the entire DC Extended Universe. To those unaware, the general belief within the DC fandom is that the Snyder Cut will only be a one-off project that is not meant to be canon to the franchise.
