DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK. BE AFRAID OF WHAT’S IN THE DARK

An entertaining syfy/“horror” flick with some fantastic visual effects!😳

If we consider what memorable sci-fi spooky monster fliks have been released in the new millenium, I'd suggest "Pitch Black" deservedly should be placed on the list.

I actually enjoy all the "Riddick" fliks, yes even the 2nd one, "Chronicles". 🙂

If you have not yet watched the animated film, "Dark Fury" I'd recommend it. 👍

It fills in a few holes, story wise.

It's usually available in any of the Riddick combo packs, if you want to save some coin.

@Grendel I love the whole series, and can’t wait for the next one.

Ooohh, "next one" @RAK ?

Are there talks of another coming?

I'd certainly be game. In fact that one might even get me into a Cinema again, heh 😉

It was mentioned about the same time they came up with Riddick that they want to do a forth that had him going home (Furya), and into the Underverse as teased at the end of the 3rd movie. If you remember there was a lot of time in between the other sequels. So I feel it’s still a possibility. I think the biggest problem is David Twohy, and Vin Diesel getting on the same schedule to do it. I know that was a little bit of an issue with the other sequels.

Ah, I see. That was some time ago I think, true?

I recall Vinny saying he'd love to do another but I suppose with the F&F sequels coming out every year, little time to put thought to a Riddick.

But.... he did do "Bloodshot" and "Last Witch Hunter" so obviously he can fit some time in.

I'm also thinking that the F&F run will probably end with the next, so the future could be bright for us "Riddick" fans...🙂

Right but you also have to consider the directors schedule, not just Vin Diesel. But I also know it is a pet project, so the may only be working on the script in there spare time.

Well, unless there's stipulations in David Twohy's contract that he must be involved, I think Diesel could afford at this time to shop around for a Director.

But then, I think Twohy wrote the stories/scripts as well, so maybe he owns the rights to the lot.

I dunno, regardless, looking forward to seeing it should we get a chance.  😀

Carnival of Souls ( 1962) dead2.gifdead2.gifdead2.gif

SHE ESCAPED DEATH. NOW IT WANTS HER BACK!

A strange little ditty, almost a psychological horror, with a slow pace that is a great copy from Criterion.

The Mummy’s Tomb (1942) dead2.gifdead2.gifdead2.gifdead2.gifdead2.gif

The ambiance is perfect with our cool winds & overcast skies to put me in the mood for one of my favs at this time of the year, Kharis (The great Sir Lon Chaney, Jr.) rules as he runs amok in the little town of Mapleton to extract his revenge, mouhahaha... my highest ‘cup of tea!
