Well, this is excellent news! 🤩

The older tin box complete set is crazy money.

I got a giggle out of seeing their advert mentions that Part-3 will be in "Real 3D"

So I guess I can archive my old anaglyph copy, heh.

This will look quite lovely beside my Halloween box set. 🙂

Thanks @RAK

Missed out on the Halloween Boxset sadly. But will definitely be getting this. I will not pay the money that they want on eBay. But overall I enjoy these much more then the Halloween movies. So for me it’s a no brained.

One of my favorites, can’t remember exactly which one I think 3 or 4 is where he kills everyone with gardening tools. It’s like he’s carrying around a tool shed off screen.

I was curious if anyone else can access the Shout Factory site today.

Specifically, The "Shopping" Thread they have.

Both my standard links won't work.

Severin (for me) still seems to be down as well...🤔

SAME ^^^ my friend @Grendel... just keep at it, it comes back in and out!😂

Thanks @RAK ;

Finally got in, only to discover The Friday The 13th set is sold out.

Now, their releases usually are available via Amazon for most titles, so not sure if this means they will crank out more for the general public or not.

I guess we'll see.

You would think they would still have some, as 13K units is a fair amount to sell out so quick.

I have no idea....

Wow, that was quick. I wonder if it’s actually sold out, or if they did that to catch up.

Hi  @RAK

Well, that experience was a bit of a mess.

I think I managed to place an order.

After coming in to the Friday 13th sale portal from another of their internal links, I was able to place an order.

They do ship to Canada, I've bought from them many times before but when I was filling out my delivery address, I could choose Canada but their drop down field would not let me add my Province.

I finally just selected "Armed Forces Americas" from their list and proceeded with payment (via CC).

So far, it looks like my order has gone through, just awaiting an email confirmation from them.

Once the chaos calms done, I'll email them and straighten out the address issue.

So, this just gets funnier.

Well, funny to Shout, at least.

I logged in that eve and checked my order.

Nope, no order registered.

So I figured, well they won't link it to my account because; even though the name, email, ship address and every other scrap of info about me was the same, well they can't link that.

I decided to hellwitit, and order one on my account as logged in.

Sure enough, I received an order number, no problems.

So now, I need to contact them again by email or whatever and cancel that 1st order.

Oh, it gets better...

I go on Amazon.ca and sure enough, they have it for $145Cdn, which if you are aware of the US/Cdn dollar exchange right now, is a HUGE drop in price.

So, I ordered another one.

Now, do I contact Shout and cancel both of those? Or keep 1 order with them, and also one with Amzoo.Canuck?

First World Problems Are HARD!

That awful moment when you realize this IS your circus and those ...

🤔

I have the original Set, I actually opened my dented copy a few weeks ago to watch the movies again after a real long time and now they have to reveal a new Set 😪 which would go nicely with the Halloween Box. Is it not yet listed on amazon.com? That said, I'm at movie 4 at the moment and I'm not so excited, Halloween is by far the better Series (if you ignore the remake and the trash called Halloween 3). But the Box looks way better than the Tin Box.

OOh, my friend @extantsrevenge, you cut me to the quick!

Did you not appreciate Halloween III: Season Of The Witch🙁

I quite enjoyed it as I did their plans for originally turning the series into an anthology, with a different perspective each film.

You have to admit, it is the most Halloween of the Halloween films, heh.

After folks practically rioted because there was no Micheal in #3, the producers convinced John to turn it into a series, about an indestructible killer, with a mounting body count, of nubile teens.

Yeah, like who goes to see those type of films...

So, though #3 got dissed by practically everyone, as of late, folks seem to be coming around to appreciating it.

It's a well written original idea I'd suggest and though the animatronics certainly look quite dated for today, I can still appreciate their charm.

The only unbelievable part, to me, was the fact that old Tom Atkins got to bang Stacy Nelkin.

Dan Oherlihy stole the show (as he does everything he's in) so gotta say I like the cast as well.

Ah, well.

Sorry to hear that your Friday Tin (like most folk's) is dented buddy. That hurts.

I'm guilty of clumping most slashers into the same hambuger patty, so the two series' hold equal value to me.

For consistent storyline it's hard to choose, as neither hold up in that regard but I think I'll give the acting nod to Halloween.

I'll be very happy to have both Box sets on my shelf, side by each. 🙂

@Grendel I absolutely hate Halloween 3, I actually planned to never watch it, because the Trailer already looked so bad and all. But when I got that complete Box I did watch it 😟, I wish I never had, it is horrible, nothing good about it in my opinion. If I would be okay with removing stuff from a complete box 3 and the disgusting Remakes would have been in the trash a long time ago. I will never ever see those movies again 😅

I also got a Box that has no dents, I always thought about selling the one with dents, but never did and now I thought better open that one than the mint copy 😅
