Nothing much to go on yet, just this little back side of the front cover card from the latest Anolis release (Terror), which always teasers the coming releases. This one teasers two titles for their "fantastic classics" series. This one is for the subseries "the 80s": "Happy Birthday to me" (in German "Ab in die Ewigkeit" which translates to "Off to the future"). Together with the other announced title we now have these Releases:

  • "Die 60er": 1) The Satan Bug (1965), 2) The Sorcerers (1967), 3) Kaitei daisensô [The Terror Beneath the Sea] (1966), 4) Tales of Terror (1962), 5) Yōsei Gorasu [Gorath] (1962)
  • "Die 70er": 1) Willard (1971), 2) Ben (1972), 3) Terror (1978)
  • "Die 80er": 1) Forbidden World (1982), 2) Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984), 3) Happy Birthday to Me (1981)

As usual with Anolis this will probably come with two cover artworks, we only get the classic movie poster as teaser, so there might probably still be another more interesting probably artistically drawn artwork as well. Other than that there is nothing more to tell.

As for the movie, "Happy Birthday to Me" is a J. Lee Thompson movie staring Melissa Sue Anderson (Little House on the Prairie) and Glenn Ford (Gilda, The Big Heat). It tells the story of the popular high school senior Ginny, who is celebrating her 18th birthday. However on that birthday, six bizarre and gruesome murders occur by a mysterious slasher on the school ground.

Now you might remember that this movie was actually released a while ago (Dec. 12th, 2016) by pH Indicator as on of their first releases. This release however sold out in Jan. 2020; there is a second release that comes in an inferior Amaray as well as without the 24-page booklet. So if you missed out on that relese, this one might be a good alternative. As for the extras and the bonus material we'll have to wait a bit longer, I guess. Meanwhile, here is the Trailer:
