My first quadruple dip not only because the movie is great but the effort of PA for making these beauties had to be rewarded. I love all of them

Agree. Excellent work from PA. I bought only 2 editions.

Yes, 4K is expensive right now plus being a PA release there's going to be price jump. However for someone who've missed the original release (like me), this is quite tempting. But if I'm in your position I wouldn't care much tbh.

Talk about losing the plot.

Why even consider releasing a 4k edition of this.

The first release sold out eventually for Plain, but you can't give them away on eBay now.

Do they really think collectors will pile in for an overpriced 4K release of a film nobody cares about anyway ?

I can understand why some collectors might want all time classics like Gladiator and Private Ryan etc, but you can't put ZDT in that bracket.

I agree with you this time @DodgyDave

There are many more films that I would have thrown in front of this.

I think they'll sell if the print run is more limited than the first time. But I don't think re-releasing is very wise, it makes your own product devaluate somewhat, even if it's not identical to the first. And I'm a big fan of 4K, but there are plenty of films they could focus on instead that haven't been given a premium version with 4K.

Awards

It's seems like every time I turn around they releasing a new edition of Carol, so I really don't think another Zero Dark Thirty is a big stretch for them. To me Plain seems more interested in releasing films they care about than pandering to collectors, otherwise their catalog would have much broader appeal. They've had about 4 titles I've had any interest in at all. This one, Sicario and the 2 Chaplin Films.
