IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MP TEAM:

Please note, in order to improve service CM releases will be moving to HUB only effective immediately (GBs shipped after Birds of Prey). Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any collector numbers at this time.

that means exactly what ? 👀

its Mid-May.......any updates?

Wouldn’t surprise me if you’re asking the same thing next May! I’m pretty sure I read they have a couple of others to release before they get around to this. I’m not expecting this until end of the year...hope I’m wrong!

CM is very slow, no doubt about it. But if you joined a GB here on MP what is the harm? You've only put your name on a list. We don't invoice until the editions are ready.

Still, I understand the frustration. CM is working on Joker right now and some of the Mediabook releases. They do seem to be increasing their output a bit lately. I'll see if I can get some more info on Goonies.

Yeah I think that's what bothers alot of us, don't give out a "release date" and say you're working really hard to meet that deadline, then go on and announce even MORE releases when you haven't even fulfilled the one you announced months ago.

Like i said, its just a terrible business model; announce all these releases, have months long delays and continue to announce MORE releases, like that makes ZERO sense.

Stay on the actual release deadlines, you rarely see FAC, MantaLab, HDZeta, BLUfans have these types of delays.

I couldn't agree more! I'm anxiously waiting for Goonies too. Better to not announce dates unless you can meet them.

Yeah thats the point

i dont like labels which announce title and title and title and then ...nothing happens

in this case, like you did say, we are lucky with that group buynthst we didnt pay anything actually....if we had ordered at CM, money would be freeze

…. But on a more serious note we all know how long it takes to get editions approved and wot not … instead of standing still and waiting for results these retailers work on several releases at a time , it all depends on which one gets finished first I would imagine… they Must get just as frustrated as the collectors do … give them some slack and just imagine doing this yourself….  Hmmmmm…

I think that it is (unfortunately) normal that retailers are dependent on different processes and permits and that delays occur here. It is also understandable that retailers work on several editions at the same time. But it is stupid if you constantly communicate periods for publications and cannot even begin to adhere to them. Then it would be better not to mention time periods. I also have to say that, in my opinion, all retailers have a lot of catching up to do in terms of transparency and customer communication.

@ukade2327 "they Must get just as frustrated as the collectors do … give them some slack and just imagine doing this yourself"

Disagree. this is EXACTLY my point of them having a terrible business model/company.

They need to stop making NEW release announcements (which just makes no sense) and actually and focus on the releases that have been delayed for months.

its like, for example: I make orange shirts - people buy my orange shirt - I still haven't made any orange shirts that have been ordered, but guess what, I'm also gonna make a blue, red, purple and green shirts!

But you're still wondering where your original orange shirt is, get it?

Its commerce/economics 101.

@Bodhisattva

That's really not an accurate comparison. A better one would be this:

I make shirts

I get approval for orange, blue and green shirts from each individual rights holder

I announce a schedule, Orange in May, Blue in July, Green, in September

I order all the supplies I need from various subcontractors & suppliers

Supplier informs me that the orange dye I ordered is delayed until October

Green dye can be delivered immediately, so I start working with that

white shirts are delivered (to be dyed) but the stitching is poorly done so I return them

I find a new shirt supplier but the cost is 2x original price

Blue dye is delivered but it's the wrong shade and must be replaced

Now orange rights holder has switched to a new owner and I must re-apply for new approvals

and so on....
