Was curious, Blade Runner 2049 was mentioned in earlier comments and I went to look for. It says it is paused and when I try to click on I get an error.  502 bad gateway.

 

I really want to sign up for it.  Any info is appreciated.

I may be the only one who feels this way but after receiving the Prestige, I would almost prefer this was in that Digibook format, double lenticular.

@airwins, this is the new design, which eliminates the seam and hinge that was on the spine of the WW release. The title will be on the spine (left) and centered as seen in the OP. Personally, I prefer this design. Not sure if this will open flat though.

After WW, UC trademarked 3wooden box designs with this as one of them. 

It is, as @monanza mentioned, an upgraded design of WW.

The dimension is the same but more elegant now.

 

@monanza, as one of the aims of the redesign is to improve the spine, the box will not open lile WW at the midway which will cause the spine to include a mid divider.

 

To open now, you need to lift the left side of the cover.The spine will stay put.

The mechanism includes a magnetic lid

Two more questions:

1. Any chance of removing "The Final Cut" text from this? I feel like we're at a point where we don't need to highlight that on every release any more. It would be more elegant and timeless with just the title.
2. Any confirmation of BR2049 UHD moving forward before this one closes?
