My Home Theater

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I created this thread so everybody could share their home theater. I would love to see your home theater. So start sharing ?

I´ll try to make some pictures the next week and add them. But it will take a while, because my camera is not working at the moment ;)

My Home Theater Setup:

I´ve not a big one...but I´m totally impressed every time, I watch a movie.

Projector: JVC HD350

Screen: Framstar 21:9 / 290 cm wide

Speakers: Monitor Audio Gold Signature

AV-Receiver: Yamaha RX-V767

Blu-ray Player: Pioneer BDP LX-52

Yes I love watching movies there, it´s much better than cinema ✌️

One day - I would love to build my own home theater in a special room...where I can make everything perfect - even the walls.
But till that day, I´m happy with this one :) -  here I put a dark carpet on the floor and build a wooden frame, put Molton (I don´t know the word in english!) on it, and mounted it on the wall around the screen - to get a better contrast and also to reduce the echo. I also bought some curtains to reduce the reflections on the windows.
I didn´t want to optimize more in this room, because it´s still my living room ;)

Guess I'll share my humble setup. It's nothing super custom or huge in terms of projector or whatnot, but I find it to be really comfy and the sound out of these klipsch speakers are amazing. My next upgrade in the future will probably be my TV, as the KS8000 is getting a bit long in the tooth. Probably leaning towards an OLED but I'll probably wait till the 77" OLED's drop in price a bit.

My Setup

TV: Samsung KS8000 65"

Speakers:

- (2) Klipsch Reference Series Dual 8" 600-watt Floor Speakers

- (1) Klipsch Reference Series 12" 400-watt Powered Subwoofer

- (1) Klipsch Reference Premiere Quad 5-1/4" 600-watt Center Channel Speaker

- (2) Klipsch Reference Premiere Dual 5-1/4" 400-watt Surround Channel Speakers

- (2) Klipsch Reference Premiere 5-1/4" 300-watt Height/Dolby Atmos Speakers (currently just have them sitting on my tower speakers to bounce off ceiling until I can get them into a better position).

Receiver: Pioneer Elite VSXLX303 9.2-Ch 4K

Blu-ray Player: Xbox One X

Vinyl Player: Pioneer Pro PLX-500-K

coffee.gif Hi @Sheikah, your set-up looks awesome and very comfy...enjoy your beautiful set-up! borat.gif

I can only dream cloudnine.gif of having such a set-up as $$/enough room is the major road-block for me (one day maybe pray.gif)!! icon_sad.gif

I am content with whatever I have though, because I'm still able to watch my favorite TV shows/movies in freedom so far!!! :)

@Sheikah Absolutely loving the set up. I currently have a KS8000 in one of the rooms in our house and havent regretted buying that a couple years ago. I really need to get some surround sound running but i have no idea about speakers, the research needs to begin!

I recently upgraded my other room to an LG OLED, I would HIGHLY Recommend upgraded when its feasible, not that you were hesitant lol.

@LMT0286  I might need some lessons on speakers and that atmos set up. One day ill achieve that. Still a newly wed and the boss lady isnt the happiest about the steels 😂 She most certainly doesnt complain about the TV when a movie is on though haha.

Here are some pics of our dedicated music & cinema room. The room is 20'x14'x11' and optimized to prioritize, two channel music playback, then multi-channel music, and finally cinema. Hence there only being room for a single row of seating. The room features dedicated power (3x 20 amp lines), dedicated HVAC, and significant soundproofing efforts to keep the in-room noise floor to a minimum. Obviously I'm also a firm believer in room acoustic treatments as well, about half of which was DIY.
