I would tell something like 3 years...

My favorites are:
Independance Day (Zavvi)
John Carter (Zavvi)
Blade 1-2-3 (Japan)

And I especially like the colors of Lion King (Zavvi's 1st release)

I think that my first Steelbook might have been Play.com Highlander. It was released in 2009. So I have been collecting about 7-8 years !

It's really hard to say what are my favourites. Hmmm...
