I only started collecting SteelBooks about a year ago when Alien and Annihilation were released. Since then I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of repurchasing many existing titles in my collection with SBs either new or second hand as well as a few new purchases from Mantalab and Nova.

I also still buy regular blu rays and sometimes dvd when this is necessary in completing a director-centric mini collection like John Carpenter or Martin Scorsese.

After various other forums led me here, and now that my initial buying frenzy has died down somewhat, I’m hoping to get in front of some of the upcoming premium releases rather than desperately trying to find reasonable prices on eBay months afterward and take a more measured approach to collecting, if such a thing exists.

Thanks, and looking forward to reading the discussions, participating in some group buys, and getting the hang of this site.

Welcome, @Mattrivers95!

Thank you for choosing Media Psychos 😃

As I have personally experienced, it is way better to focus on new titles than old ones!

MP has a great many links with exclusives and you will love it here. Feel free to ask for help and our Guardians will guide you further.

Hope to see you in our many discussion threads too 😃

Welcome @Mattrivers95 😁 Yes, taking a measured approach is a great idea. Wallet shock is a real thing when invoices start rolling in 😬 and real life has troublesome habit of getting in the way sometimes.
