I keep seeing the trailer for this in the cinema and really cannot wait for October now when the movie comes out!  Anything Tom Hardy does is good in my eyes (I loved the Taboo tv series last year!!), so have high expectations for this movie as Tom Hardy & Marvel is a match made in heaven for me :)

I don't think this will be a precursor for infinity war pt 2 as that is disney and venom is sony. After the critical battering the movie has recieved you could be right and Sony will give (sell) some of the rights of the character. These are the same critics who praised the last Jedi so everyone's opinion is their own. I was really excited for this movie but they have reduced the r rating and cut a lot of the movie if Tom hardy is correct. Hopefully they release a director's cut or a r rated cut on blu ray.  I am going to see the film on the weekend anyway. At least it shold be better than the last jedi for me.
