Hmm, this flik came in the 4 disc set I bought last year of Clint Films.

Quality of the release was very good, so may pass on this one.  🤔

I have yet to see the remake with Kidman but I'm thinking this one is better, regardless.

^^ Well, the entire "Dirty Harry" collection was given it's own set (which I have) so perhaps they felt extracting just the first one would have many folks screaming for the follow-ups and of course, it always comes down to rights issues.... 🤨

I think The Beguiled is a pretty good flik and not a bad choice, it's just a matter of how many times we'll elect to double and triple dip I suppose.

I have a contradictory relation with this serie of WCL editions: some seems dazzling, great, and very appropriate for the film; while others seem interesting but not especially linked to the film. Not because the draw and its conception have no relation -for example- with the plot, but because from the aesthetic it is not linked to what the film expresses. I don't know if I'm expressing myself well.

In the case of "The Beguiled", the design seems to me absolutely brilliant, and very linked to the climate of the film, the protagonist and its circumstances.

Besides, it seems very really elegant. Of those kind of editions that you like to see on the shelf because, in addition to liking you, in general they look great.

Congratulations to the designer wherever he is.

I look forward to having her in my hands.

Your post is very clear and well-written.

Yes, it does seems that WCL has an extremely good eye for old titles. You should the work on Dragon Gate Inn and Gilda.

I think when it comes to more sci-fi based films, they tried something different - Minority Report has a silver-paper base.

And really glad you spend time to give us your opinion and especially in such a professional and respectful manner 🙇‍♂️

Just opened this up and really all I can say is.... WOW! Huge, huge compliment to the artists involved in this release as this is an absolute stunner! The art on the full slip, the inner sleeve and the photo book are all just gorgeous. The photo book itself is so, so good with a fantastic assortment of stills, behind the scenes photo, posters etc.

Its a beauty!

This looks amazing, I'm in the UK, is there a way I can order this and the Unforgiven one from WCL?
