This movie was shot at 60 fps like the Hobbit. I’m curious to see how it looks in 4K. I saw it in the theater in 3D which was average at best except for one motorcycle chase scene which was excellent.

I have the got Best Buy 4K Steelbook when it came out. If you have a proper 4K setup than this is the standard for showing off your system.
 

The picture is unbelievably clear. It’s like you’re there with Will Smith. The HFR is really cool too. It’s ridiculously smooth.

 

The movie itself is average. Like if you watch it on cable then you won’t be impressed at all. But on the right 4K setup it’s a wild ride.

I’m very surprised that few people are jumping on this GB. The film was good entertainment. I watched it on normal BD. It is supposedly a much better film, visually, in 4K. 
The film certainly deserves to be given Premium “treatment”.
Plus, it’s 501 copies. They will sell out. 

If you miss the opportunity to get a copy from our GB, you will only have yourself to blame when you decide to add it to your collection and you pay high secondary prices.

What a great looking slip. 
Nice to see FA breaking it up a bit and using some spot gloss as opposed to texture on the front and back. 
I thought it was a good film and thoroughly deserves the premium treatment. And FA have certainly provided that. 
That’s another “well done to FA”

I saw it in 3d and it looked great. 60 fps as I recall. The sequence with the motorcycle chase had some nice 3D too.

I bet it did, i can't remember the last time I seen something in 3D. It was at the cinema quite a while ago.

Great looking slip, but one of the most boring and cheapest looking movies I´ve ever seen - and I saw a lots of crap in my life...  
For me - it´s an perfect example for: effects are not everything - spent also some time (and money) into your set design and maybe the story as well.

I’ll agree that the script could have benefited from a couple more rewrites. The story could use some more depth to make it stand out even more from other films that share in the same genre. With that said I enjoyed the movie very much.

Do you mean the movie isn’t interesting looking? Like as for as set design and location? It sounds like that’s what you mean. Or that’s how I’m interpreting your comment about the film looking cheap.

Yes.
If you want to make a c-movie, then everything has to be "shitty" looking.
But they spent a sh*t load of money for effects and Mr. (BAD INDEPENDENT LEGEND MEN) Smith...but what about the rest? A movie is not just about a star or some effetcs...it has to be a complete package, which has to look like ONE PIECE.

And if I got the feeling, that the office of the SECRETSUPERDUPERORGANISATION (f.e.) is in my neighbours garage...well - does´nt work for me - because it does´nt match the look and feel of the digital effects. It looks just like a showreel for digital effecs on Mr. Smith...but nothing else. And if the rest is looking cheap, it simply does´ nt match up for me - so the whole movie is going down.

BUT AGAIN...IT´S JUST MY OPINION (and from few others, I´ve watched the movie with.)
 

 

Don´t missunderstand - I love watching movies like this once in a while. Others have done it for me - combination of digital effetcs with a great looking set (Transformers or Alita f.e.)...
