Why doesn't MP cover the Criterion Collection?

Hey, it's a simple question: this place is a perfect resource for premium releases all over the world but it doesn't have any coverage about the Criterion Collection, which is probably the most famous premium line of media releases in the world. Why is that?

 

I'm not suggesting that we need group buys on their titles, I've never had an issue getting a Criterion release at launch, but it would be cool to have a Master List thread in Special Editions where we can get hype with movie friends about what's coming and keep track of what's already been released.

I love Criterion as well but with a catalog that had just recently reached the 1,000 titles benchmark, I don’t think you’ll find many people here who’d volunteer to list them all.

Maybe we could make it a collaborative effort? Or just list upcoming releases?

 

I just want a thread like Diskino's WCL has. It's a great space to talk about upcoming releases

I think it’s a great idea to create a thread for new or upcoming releases. This isn’t something that would need to be managed by the staff, we have members creating new threads all the time. I think the best place would be under non-Steelbook section here under Blu-rays or Special Editions. We’d need members like you to step up and post new

content though.

I'm working 70 hours a week until November but when I'm done I'll make and curate that Criterion thread then.

No problem, thanks. Actually working for a living and still finding time for MP is a challenge for many of us! 😅 

 

I'm no expert on Criterion but I do have some of their editions for movies I really like and they never disappoint. I recently picked up sex, lies and videotape and it's great.
