Which of the following movies does not feature Vin Diesel ?

Bloodshot

Saving Private Ryan

A Man Apart

Faster

Babylon AD

The Knockaround Guys

I’ve seen none of these movies, including Saving Private Ryan.

Pure guess I’d say ‘Faster´

  1. Easy. Which famous cinematographer was a cow herder in Israel, oil driller in India, and a doctor of Chinese medicine in Thailand?
  2. More easy. Which film was released 20 years and one day ago at the Cannes Film Festival?
  3. And more easy. Which movie from its director is one of Quentin Tarantino's favorite movies?

Always waiting a Collections edition... ;)

This is easy? 😅

1. No idea but my guess is Adam Greenberg.

2. In The Mood For Love (saw your latest post 😉)

3. Chungking Express?

Oh, yes, it's easy...

You have to think like Keyser Söze: "If you see it up close it doesn't make sense, look at it from behind, give it perspective ..."

;)

PS: You already have two hits.

I googled the missing answer which makes sense now but I wouldn’t have guessed it anyway.
BTW I’ve never seen In The Mood For Love 😅

A secret: I took care not to put those activities in order so that you wouldn't find it on google so easily. But it is not difficult either. Easier than you think.

And about you've never sen "In the mood for love"...

It's a joke...

I love "In the mood for love". You'll find her among the best movies of her decade on almost every critical list. The best 2000-2009 film for Cahiers du Cinema. And if you like auteur cinema or the chinese non blockbuster cinema it is a must see.

Great direction. Great actors. An improvised script through experimentation, a search process that almost nobody can afford anymore. And one of the most amazing cinematography and soundtracks I've ever seen. But that does not mean that everyone likes it.

It's kind of slow, because it has to be that way, just like some moments in life are too. But for me is a masterpiece, really beautiful.

And no, I'm not trying to be objective. ;)

Well, in the end it was difficult. Or maybe not.

The famous cinematographer was a cow herder in Israel, oil driller in India, and a doctor of Chinese medicine in Thailand was ... Christopher Doyle, photography director of "In the mood for love". There were three questions about the same film. So I recommended taking a step back and seeing this as a whole.

By the way, Christopher Doyle is a very interesting photographer, extremely interesting, and a limited edition of his Zhang Yimou "Hero" photos has been distributed many years ago, like other photobooks.

And, in general, he's a very interesting guy, both from an artistic point of view, and speaking of that incredible life he has had or is living now.
