Villains have been a staple of cinema dating back to the German expressionism of the 1920's (who can forget Hans Beckert, the serial child rapist/killer from Fritz Lang's masterpiece 'M'). Some are charming psychopaths (Hitchcock in particular was fond of them), some are crazy megalomaniacs (who are very bad at killing a certain British secret agent), while others are adept at using both manipulation and brute force (TDKR's Bane comes to mind). Hi everyone I am taking a cue from @45Caliber and wanted to start a topic dedicated to my favorite movie genre - gangster movies. Mob movies, even average ones manage to somehow entertain and the great ones, although we can recite them by heart, we still find ourselves watching them for the 36th time when we happen upon them on tv.
